Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

So do I, Gildor ... at the moment I'm still considering to cancel my auto-shipment in case I will not get an answer to my complaint I immediately sent after having received the Tarannon (supported by sending some pics of the incomplete figure and the package to Mithril). - Alright, you might call it some mistake that might happen sometimes when the Company is so busy each day packing and sending some metal-figures. I can understand that well. But I'm fed up with that, after having been waiting to have the April 2013 figure being released at last.- Alas, maybe I get each missing link each month ... left arm in July, right arm in September, and as a surprise, the head for Christmas 2014. ------ Oh,no, I hope they'll not charge those extra package and post for that.
Sorry, I definitely am angry still. And this had to be said. Maybe tomorrow I will have calmed down a bit.

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

I have done some statistics on 9 years of Fellowship submissions tongue

The longest time between the first proposition and the release (M, MS or MX):

Lapse           Proposition                                   Initial owner      "won" date     Winner
9y          Aug-05 Gollum, Frodo                               ddaines                Jul-14             twrich             MX600
and Sam IN the Crack of Doom
8.7 Y      Jul-05    Bandobras Took                           opou                   Dec-13            Mornedhel
7 Y         Jul-05    The funeral of Boromir                 DeanW                Apr-12             Milo                  MS583
7 Y         Oct-05    Baldor of Rohan at the gate         Hammershield      Jul-12              Hwolf                MS586
6 Y         Jul-05    Pippin and Beregond                    MBmotel17           Jun-11            Barliman             MS574
facing the Troll Chieftain at the Black Gates

and the average years between initial proposition and "winning" proposition is 2 years 10 months :-))

We are very patient guys

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

Good work indeed and thanks for that. BUT there is a slight mistake in the database.
When Master Turambar visited me he asked me why there are TWO last kings of Arnor. We researched a bit. There is the MS597, Earendur, last king of Arnor, which is correct. But then there is the MS540 Arvedui which is listed in the database also as "last king of Arnor". That's not correct. On the leaflet there is just the name in bold print. Additionally the figure is explained as being the last king of Arthedain (!!!).
Maybe this should be corrected. Pleased don't feel criticized by this as I just try to help a bit. wink

I had noticed also two last Kings of Arnor. I had not gotten around to researching it yet.

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

true, that it is Arthedain, as opposed to "Arnor reunited"... but Arvedui remains the last King of Elendil line in the North (he is a descendant of Earendur... I shall correct the title smile

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

just my 2 cents

19th suggestion : January 2007 : MS465 "Corsair Admiral" (Submitted by : Nikolai W. "Estel" Egold) (release 18)

the "Corsair Admiral" was suggested by Hammershield and not Estel.
Estel proposed the "Corsair Captain" the same month.

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

damnit, I have to correct that (in the account, and in database)  by any chance do you know the name of "Hammershield"?

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

As far as I know, his name is Pedder Hammarskjöld, as I tried to get in contact with him several times accross 2002, with a negative result.
He is swedish and took part with Jim Corless in different games-sessiones in the US.
That´s all I can say.

Yes, I new Peder and I spoke a few times with him, and even exchange material for scenery. He was a great diorama maker and have lovely pictures of his work on the net. Unfortunatelly they are not longer available.

Re: Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology

Database updated with Chr2014 & MS611. wink
Last week, I also updated DB with blisters and some detailed pictures for M1 to M100. I will keep going.
As I received some fantastic individual paintings images by Master Elroi, I am currently adding these as illustrations.
If anyone else here want to have his paintings added in MMP database, just send just send me jpg images and I will do it.
