Re: The Travelling Elrond

Oh well, Master Milo, you're absolutely and entirely right in saying that I once just reported (!) from what I found somewhere here in the vaults on MMP. It was not a list I made myself. No, but it reminds me again of some old lists. I would rather like to point out that the quoted list once was published by a dear and extremely reliable Hobbit.  Huomm ... I think or even seem to remember his name is Milo. - Just keep on all you lads and enjoy, please.

lollollol

Hi MAster Ent. Good to hear you and the reminder as I tend to mix things  nowadays and forget what I previously did or said.
So, back to Elrond travel, It is Gavin who should host him next.

Please Master Twrich, let us know when Elrond intends to cross USA north border. wink

Re: The Travelling Elrond

So... if others agree on the following I would put a reasonable margin of days (let's say a couple of weeks), then if Gavin has not answered "the call" I would skip him (haven't seen him around since 2016!)

And I am sure Milo will be more than happy to host Elrond for the first time and listen to his numerous histories.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

If you want to I could try to ask Gavin. The last thing I know is that his interest was declining a very long time ago - I don't recall if it is since 2016. I just want to offer some help.

I have sent a message to Gavin and hope that his email is the same as I last knew. I'll let you know if I hear from him.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Well, that list is a bit old, though I think it has not been changed or altered yet. I am not responsible for it, In those days I just wanted to help a bit with that.
I also could try to contact Gavin. He has been through many changes as far as I know.

Completely correct, it is originated on this list written by thingol on the 12th of October of 2016:

Thingol wrote:

Elrond destination's list 2016/2017

Harald Halbarad II (Germany)
Turambar (Germany)
Thingol (Croatia)
HSF62 (Germany)

... then USA and Canada:

Mindx2 (USA)
Jdbrown55  (Texas)
Twrich (Minneapolis)
Gavin (Canada)

... back to Europe:

Milo (France)
Imisel (Spain)

This is where the latest list ends.......

It seems to me that Elrond journey is quite fast lately .... He visited 4 destinations in one year.... it seems that he is nearing to went to the Gray heavens.... ;-)

And I am trying hard to speed up Elrond's move along the list since 2018, but it seems Elrond is gettind tired and spends a year (at least) on each host's house he visits. hahahaha

In fact to be true we are trying to resolve this issue twrich is having since this post:

twrich wrote:

I do have Elrond, but I haven't been able to get ahold of the next person on the list, Dave I believe.
If anyone has the contact information for whoever is next on the list, I'll arrange to Send Elrond on his next adventure. wink

So, to sum up, I would skip Gavin, since we have tryied to contact him without any answers to my knowledge. AND there are quite a few on the list before myself that still have never hosted him and they deserve so. (I'm feeling like Merry and Pippin trying to hurry up the Ents before Isengard hahahahaha)

And the actual list is as follows:

Twrich (Minneapolis) --->Hosting Elrond since 9th June 2018
Gavin (Canada) ---->I would skip him, since it seems to not be answering nor connecting to mmp

    ... back to Europe:

Milo (France)
Imisel (Spain)
Mornedhel (Belgium)
Gerold (Belgium)
Maenas (Spain)

Re: The Travelling Elrond

2 years is toooo much to have Elrond without travelling. IMHO

I agree, also keep in mind that such duration is quite nothing for an elf. cool

Re: The Travelling Elrond

I would love to sent Elrond along, Milo what is your address. You can email me at twrich@comcast.net

2 years is way too long and he has not been on any exciting trips since the Dominican Republic well over a year ago. I have unsuccessfully tried to contact those next on the list, so I am sorry Elrond has been sitting in his travel box for so long.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Hi Milo and everyone, Gavin Bennett did reply to my last email with his address. So as he is next on the list, I will send Elrond to him. He is living in London and so it should be a short visit before moving on to Milo in France. I am very glad that Elrond will be continuing his journey!

At last! Hooray! Thank you for making the effort Twrich smile

After all, Elrond has all the years he might desire in front of him, but we are mere descendants of the second people and since, mortality is upon us, so our time on Arda is limited.

I really hope Gavin keeps this thread alive and moving, in fact, I am sure he will, now that Elrond is going to visit him.

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Hi Nino, yes, I have not shared pictures yet. But I do have several. They are on my phone. I will need to download them to my laptop and figure out a way to share them. I am not as good at technology as most of you, but I will find a way.

Just do it from your phone, use the upload image function from the top menu of MMP, choose forum size, copy the link it creates.

Then create a post, copy the link in the post and done.

Unless the picture gets rotated, as it happens to me, it's by far, much faster than the other process that goes through your pc, etc...)wink

OH! And may I guess that Gavin has already received Elrond?? Hope he writes to us all smile

Re: The Travelling Elrond

Months have past as fallen leaves from autumn trees... so time has come again to ask about our little big fellow, our traveller Elrond. Is him with Gavin in London or did he already started his way to visit Master Milo?

Gavin (London) ---->Elrond is sharing good times with Gavin. ( I guess since somewhere around November 2020)
Milo (France)
Imisel (Spain)
Mornedhel (Belgium)
Gerold (Belgium)
Maenas (Spain)
